WHY ARE BABY TURKEYS CALLED?

Baby turkeys are so adorable, but have you ever stopped to think about what they're called? They aren't just little turkeys! A baby turkey is called a poult. Isn't that a cool name? When you see a herd of these fluffy little creatures running  how long does the turkey hen stay with her chicks, around, you know they are definitely poults. They are
